Well that was until she found Pilates @ the Mill.  Nicole have been coming to group classes several days a week for almost a year and a half.  \"It is such an amazing feeling to find a exercise program that is not only great for your body,  but also for your mind.\"<br><br>During the day Nicole is a 6th grade special education teacher and absolutely loves it.  She is also currently in school at Rivier College working towards a Master's degree in Emotional / Behavioral Disorders.  When not working or at school she loves to spend time with her family and friends (and of course her beloved dog).<br><br>After taking Cardiolates and Spinning for well over a year at Pilates @ the Mill, Nicole knew that she wanted to become an instructor. She has always had a passion for physical fitness and educated herself in the field earning Associate’s Degrees in both Exercise Science and Physical Therapy.  She began to learn the importance of not only having a healthy body but also a healthy mind which led her to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Preventive Healthcare & Wellness Promotion.  She is a strong believer in working on the whole self, creating a mind-body connection to help lead healthier lives.  She is a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant and is co-owner of New Boston Physical Therapy, LLC where she helps individuals recover from injures and gets them back to full function.<br><br>Kim is certified through AFAA, STOTT Pilates, Mad Dogg Athletics & American Heart Association.  She instructs Spinning, mat Pilates, cardio kickboxing, group strengthening & pre/post natal conditioning classes. Michelle is also certified with The American Council on Exercise as a personal trainer, Mad Dogg Athletics for SPINNING, Cardiolates thru the Pilates Academy International for rebounding and is trained through the American Heart Association for CPR/AED.<br><br>Once considerably overweight, Michelle boasts 85 lbs. of weight loss and accredits the discipline of mind over matter as her biggest motto. Joseph Pilates said it perfectly when he stated, \"It is the mind that creates the body\". Once Michelle lost her weight she inspired others to do the same and became certified as a personal trainer. She then began taking Pilates classes and private reformer sessions and quickly noticed her body was taking on a new level of strength and ease of function. Although she was able to lift a good amount of weight and her endurance level had increased, she still struggled with certain functional dynamic exercise, was challenged by balance and suffered from occasional migraines.<br><br>Once Michelle was able to internalize the principles of Pilates, her body became more centered and focused and she was able to perform far more challenging exercises and accomplish balancing technique like never before. Michelle quickly realized how important a proper breath pattern was to overall health, blood oxygenation and well-being and since mastering the breath pattern, her migraines disappeared. Michelle's goal in opening the studio is to provide a comfortable, warm atmosphere where the members felt like they were 'at home' and to create a community within each class with one another. She took her first step toward a healthy lifestyle of activity while in college with Adult Ballet and Dance classes. <br><br>Soon after experiencing the exhilaration that a great cardio workout class can bring, she progressed to become a Jazzercise\® instructor, owning her own franchise and teaching at several locations in Orlando , FL. <br><br>As her interest in helping clients one-on-one grew, she became certified as a Personal Fitness Trainer through the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and American Aerobic Association International – International Sports Medicine Association, with additional certification as a Group Fitness Instructor through ACE. <br><br>Moving to NH 1998, she continued teaching a variety of group fitness classes such as hi-lo impact, kickboxing, BOSU\®, and stability ball. She focused her student instruction more on Mind/Body training after taking STOTT PILATES\®\™ courses, YogaFit\® Yoga teacher training courses through Level 2, as well as becoming certified as a SPINNING\® Instructor through MAD DOGG Athletics & most recently Cardiolates\® thru the Pilates Academy International.<br><br>She most enjoys sharing the knowledge she has gained through the STOTT PILATES\®\™ Instructor training coursework and continuing education workshops she has completed.
