What is STOTT PILATES®

At Bedford Pilates & Pedaling, all of our Pilates instructors are highly qualified, personable & caring certified STOTT PILATES® Instructors. STOTT PILATES® was co-created by former professional dancer Moira Merrithew and Lindsey Merrithew with input from sports medicine professionals, and is a contemporary, anatomically-based approach to Joseph Pilates' original exercise method. Its exercises safely deliver optimal strength, flexibility and endurance, without adding bulk.

This stress-relieving method can be performed on a mat or using dedicated STOTT PILATES® equipment. Unlike the original series of exercises, STOTT PILATES®incorporates modern exercise principles, including contemporary thinking about spinal rehabilitation and performance enhancement. For example, unlike the original approach, which promotes a flat back, STOTT PILATES® exercises are designed to restore the natural curves of the spine and rebalance the muscles around the joints.

A natural curve to the spine increases stability to the daily impacts we place on our spine and is therefore much more shock absorbent. The STOTT PILATES® method also places more emphasis on scapular stabilization than the classic method. As well, there are more preparatory exercises and modifications to make the method safer and more effective.

What is SPINNING®?

SPINNING® is a moderate to high intensity workout for people of all ages and fitness levels. An indoor cycling class set to music, riders control their own intensity by adjusting speed and resistance load to meet their individual needs. A typical 45-minute SPINNING® workout can burn up to 650 calories! Our Instructors are all certified by Mad Dogg Athletics - the original program as designed by Johnny G., creator of the SPINNING® Program!

What is Cardiolates®?

Cardiolates®: This fun and energetic class, set to energetic music, involves urban rebounding using the alignment principles of Pilates. Begin with 15 minutes of abdominal work, followed by 35 minutes of rebounding and finish with 10-15 minutes of stretching to cool down. Not only will you feel energized, you'll leave with a bounce in your step!

Introduction to Pilates 5 Basic Principles: $39
“This private session is essential to learning the language and fundamentals of pilates. Mandatory for anyone who has never done pilates before.”

Intro Group Class Package: $85
The perfect way to check us out! One month of unlimited group classes of your choice at a drastically reduced rate!


Session Packages: (12 week session)

Core Session: One class per week $150
Powerhouse Unlimited: Unlimited Classes $399

Unlimited number of group classes for the entire session. You must
Register for a minimum of 3 classes per week and may drop in up to 3 per week.


Member Packages: (one year commitment)

Core Member One class per week $49 per month
Powerhouse Member Unlimited Classes $119 per month

Member Packages are a one year commitment on our AutoPay system. Autopay members pay a one time registration fee of $50. A cancellation fee of one month member rate will apply should you cancel before the one year contract. See Sarah or Michelle for further details.

Cancellations: - 24 hours notice is requested to cancel a scheduled session appointment. Cancellations without 24 hours notice will be charged at the full rate. The studio reserves the right to cancel any session or class at any time.
